• LINQ Framework Design Guidelines – API design guidelines are a particular favourite of mine – this post outlines a set of rules for using LINQ in your API
• Float, Double and Decimal: do you know the differences? – Basic stuff, a good article if you don’t feel you know everything about these data types
• How stable is your code? – A look at the Stable Dependency Principle which states ‘Dependencies between released components must run in the direction of stability. The dependee must be more stable than the depender.’
• Convert Generic ICollection<T> – C# 411 looks at converting collections of one generic type to collections of that types base, or derived type.
• ASP.NET MVC: Securing Your Controller Actions – Rob Conery looks at using Forms authentication to lock down your controller actions.
• Loosen Up: Tame Your Software Dependencies for More Flexible Apps – James Kovacs writes about Dependency Injection and IOC in this MSDN article
• List of .NET Dependency Injection Containers (IOC) – Scott Hanselman has put together a list of all the DI and IOC frameworks he can find – there are more than I thought there would be!

• ‘Prism’ RI first drop – Glenn Block announces the first release of Prism, a composite client framework for WPF applications. This first release all about generating visibility for the project, as the code is still undergoing large changes, and therefore not yet CTP or Beta worthy.
• IIS 7 Remote Manager for XP, Vista and Windows Server 2003 – Greg Duncan highlights the release of the IIS manager application for IIS7

• Objects have dependencies. Methods don’t – Jeffrey Palermo talks about at technique to do separation of concerns on legacy code to increase testability.
• Enum With String Values In C# – A means applying string values to enums using Attributes, Reflection and extension methods.
• PTOM: The Liskov Substitution Principle – Chad Myers kicks off the series on SOLID Principles with a post on handling polymorphism and the Liskov Substitution Principle
• The Agile Micro ISV Blog: Executable Specifications – Part 2 – Tim Haughton looks at creating code based specifications with NSpec
• XmlWriter design flaws – Ivan Mitev runs into problems with the XMLWriter – I’ve encountered this issue before although my run in was in the context of web service serialisation – Its a very frustrating issue.

• Updated Data Driven ASP.NET Resource Provider Posted – Rick Strahl updates his Database backed Resource provider for ASP.NET 2.0 or later

• C# 4, part 5: Other bits and bobs which probably don’t merit inclusion – Jon Skeet adds an extra part to his series to outline a few more features he’d like to see in C#4
• Some WCF Vocabulary – David Starr provides a useful glossary of some WCF terms
• Using Routing With WebForms – Phil Haack talks about using the MVC framework’s routing capabilities in webforms applications
• An introduction into WPF Styles And Templates – Sacha Barber continues his series on WPF with a long article on using Styles and Templates for customising the appearance of your applications
• Indexing and searching business entities using Lucene.Net Framework, part 3 – Laurent Kempé continues his series on Lucene.NET and business objects – there were two parts posted up in close succession, with the first being from last year. This certainly looks interesting, and I’ll try to highlight further posts in this series
